So while driving into work on a hot, hot Alabama Saturday morning, I noticed this new message spray-painted on an local overpass:

‘Will you go quietly to the FEMA camps?’

A fitting answer: “Oh, HELL NO.”

Here’s hoping that more and more members of our Republic begin to wake up and think that maybe, just maybe, the government does not always know what’s best for you.

LA Gangs using lasers

According to an AP story on Streetgangs.com, the Fresno police department is cracking down on Gangs with weapons.

If the gangs are carrying around these weapons, the police had better call for backup:

Perhaps the Police should start carrying around light sabers. They’re not quite as clumsy as blasters, you know.

(If you’re not quite as big of a Star Wars fan, then maybe you won’t recognize the gun. But that’s an E-11 blaster rifle, from the movies. The chosen weapon of Imperial stormtroppers, ironically enough.

The fictional gun is based on a real gun, the Sterling LA23 submachine gun. You can view them side-by-side here.

It looks like Robb Allen’s going to need to add an additional category to his Journalist’s Guide to Firearm Identification.)

Let me be blunt. For a very long time, I did not like Glenn Beck. But after 2001, I started listening sporadically. And his tone and demeanor seemed to change. While I still wouldn’t say I’m 100% in line with his beliefs, I *am* 100% behind this speech he delivered at the NRA National meeting in Charlotte, NC:
